Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Intital 3 Month Contract - South Yorkshire, Healthcare Sector

The daily rate for this position is negotiable.

My client a well known and respected Healthcare institute based in South Yorkshire, is seeking an experienced COO to join their Executive team on an initial 3 month contract.

This is a key senior role in the Executive and Board structure, with a broad leadership and management portfolio of both clinical services and a range of corporate support functions, the key function of the role is to ensure the safe provision of high quality patient focussed services that meet national and local performance requirements within resources available.

The post holder is also the lead change agent for the transformation of services including service re-organisation, and estates reconfiguration. This will include the supporting/leading the development of clinical strategies.

- Able to get key messages across on complex issues
- Able to establish and maintain relationships with key people, both internally & externally
- Evidence of successful track record of achieving results in a senior leadership role
- Ability to innovate, to recognise challenges, analyse problems and apply effective solutions
- Ability to demonstrate honesty and professional integrity
- Ability to manage a highly complex portfolio and deliver a wide range of objectives within the time available

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Significant senior management experience in an NHS Trust, operating at or close to Board level
- Significant experience across both community and acute based service provision
- Experience of delivering against challenging performance targets, and of managing others to do so.
- Experience of delivering high levels of productivity and efficiency.
- Extensive experience of leading successful change in patient centered care delivery
- Extensive experience of delivering demonstrably high quality service
