Chief Architect - ICT Applications

As a senior technical specialist team member of Strategy & Architecture team, the Chief Architect, ICT Applications is a key part of the Design Authority for the ICT Applications domain.

These domains include (but not limited to):

SAP

Quintiq (rostering system)

Data warehouse (Cognos, Business Objects)

System integration (utilising SOA)

Applications Portfolio Management

Application design facilitation (including monitoring and reporting tools)

THE ROLE:

- Maintain the technical design artifacts for the ICT application design.
- Ensure new initiatives utilising ICT Applications is appropriately designed to specified requirements include non-functional specifications. The role ensures designs meet requirements for the integrity, reliability, availability and maintainability.
- Ensures designs are approved, available, current and traceable to requirements.
- Ensures application designs comply with all security, safety and relevant regulatory requirements and approved standards where applicable.
- Ensures application design supports objectives of performance monitoring and aligns with ICT principles.
- Ensures changes are compliant with the client's processes and relevant internal standards.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

- experience in working in complex enterprise grade ICT environments
- Functional knowledge of the applications architecture domain including application life cycle development processes. Specific and detailed knowledge on the theory and practice of software engineering.
- Technical experience in providing solution architecture services including developing and delivering highly available and complex systems
- Functional knowledge of SOA implementation and management
- Experience in development of application architecture artifacts
