Our client, a leading global mobile telecommunications company, is looking to recruit a Chief Architect to join their new Development Center in Dublin. The Development Center has been created to allow the company to deliver the highest quality OSS and BSS systems to their customers and place themselves as a leader in management software for communication systems.
We are seeking highly skilled candidates to lead a team of architects and advanced proof of concept activities. Within this role successful candidates will add deep knowledge of high performance computing in both Real Time and batch systems. The Chief Architect will direct the architecture specification of a next generation platform in the field of Customer Experience (Analytics, Optimization, and Management).
Your responsibilities include:
- Lead and direct advanced network analytic platform project in European lab.
- Interface to HQ, senior management presentations and customer engagements.
- Strategic direction of technology adoption and portfolio realization.
- Direct and manage architecture and proof of concept teams.
- Discuss with customers on business requirements and present to stakeholders.
- Technology roadmap and innovation planning.
- Technical specification and technical reporting.
Required skills and experience:
- Master or higher degree in computer science, software architectures and/or communications or significant relevant industry experience
- Excellent industry experience, with proven R Tier 1 in real-world deployments
- Excellent Knowledge in noSQL and hybrid data warehouse architectures
- Proven track record in high performance computing architectures
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Hadoop eco-system and open source community
- Strong leadership skills with proven track record of advanced prototyping
- Expertise in the specification of API's to expose platform capabilities, from both internal development and B2B view points.
- Strong understanding of relevant business models in cloud systems.
- Experience in international forums, open source communities and or standardization a strong plus
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
