Chemistry Lab Technician

This is a Laboratory Chemist position that will be supporting a Lead Chemist. Working under the direction of a lead scientist, the incumbent will support chemical process development activities. Day to day activities would include manipulation/setup of experimental equipment and execution of desired experiments. Operations will include reactions, filtrations, distillations, extractions, chromatographies, crystallizations, and material transfers. The successful candidates will have strong organic chemistry laboratory skills. They must be able to work safely, produce reproducible results, and thoroughly record and report all relevant data. Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and teamwork skills are preferred. The ability to work independently would be advantageous. This ideal candidate will have a BS/MS degree in Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering although other fields may be considered based on demonstrated experience including graduate students.
