Chemist / Manufacturing Associate

A biotechnology company in the San Francisco bay area is looking for a Chemist to join their team. The Manufacturing Associate will be involved in the manufacturing of disease-related diagnostic products. Working within the Manufacturing team, the candidate will be responsible for the following:
* Working according to ISO 13485 and cGMP requirements: ability to follow written operating instructions and strict documentation of one's own work;
* Ability to operate small-scale manufacturing equipment and scientific instruments;
* Chemical and biochemical preparation of reagents used for production;
* In-process quality testing monitoring;
* Process and equipment troubleshooting;
* Performing repetitive manual and semi-automated processes, improving these processes and helping train others in the processes.

Chemist / Manufacturing Associate Requirements:

Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in industry or strong experience in biochemical production. Good communication skills and experience in ISO or cGMP environments are highly desirable. Applicants must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and excited about working as a team in a small company environment where a hands-on, multitasking and interactive approach to innovative manufacturing is the norm. The successful applicant's work quality is expected to be of a high degree. A strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must.
