CHEMIST needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in FREMONT, CA.

THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Two (2) or more years of ICP-MS trace element analysis experience
- Analytical methods
- S. degree in Chemistry or equivalent education
- Prior experience with surface analysis by VPD/DSE ICP-MS

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Trace and ultra-trace analysis, ICP-MS elemental analysis, semiconductor wafer analysis, sample preparation.
- Seeks a B.S. analytical chemist specializing in trace and ultratrace elemental analysis using ICP-MS.
- The candidates would preferably have prior experience with surface analysis by VPD/DSE ICP-MS, and wish to pursue a career in analytical chemistry with focus within the semiconductor industry.
- This is a temp position, based in Fremont, California.
- Perform surface analysis of semiconductor wafers and OEM parts for trace elements by VPD ICP-MS and DSE ICP-MS.
- Participate in development of new analytical methods.
- Interface with internal and external customers on laboratory concerns or data reporting.
- Responsible for the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair analytical instruments.
- Meets or exceeds all company safety procedures and standards.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- B.S. degree in Chemistry or equivalent education
- Minimum two (2) years of laboratory experience in the semiconductor
- Preferred two (2) or more years of ICP-MS trace element analysis experience
- Must be safety conscious
- Good organization skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment with good communication skills
- Ability to operate and maintain assigned laboratory equipment
- Ability to work under time pressure
- Must have initiative and be self-motivated
- Ability to change plans on short notice and work with a flexible schedule
