Chemist Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a CHEMIST to join our client in Niskayuna, NY.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment such as ICP-AES, ICP-MS, or XRF.
- Solve problems related to materials composition analysis, providing data analysis and interpreting data in written reports with minimal supervision.
- Potentially be involved in other characterization techniques.

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Material Science or other related discipline.
- Hands-on experience in Wet Chemistry, sample preparation, and ICP-AES or ICP-MS.
- Demonstrated instrumentation skill.
- Computer skills and familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Hands-on experience with acid digestion, microwave digestion, fusion and other sample preparation techniques.
- Experience in other characterization techniques such as Ion Chromatography, XRF, FT-IR, HPLC or XRD.
- Experience in data analysis software and computer interfacing to analytical instrumentation and working knowledge of statistics.
