Chemical Engineer

A global provider of engineering, construction and operations services is currently seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to participate as a part of a process design team on various medium and large projects for the consumer products industry in the Spartanburg, SC, area. This is a 4 month CONTRACT position, with the possibility of extension. Local candidates are preferred. The pay rates shown are estimates. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Complete routine process engineering reports, studies and calculations
- Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Generate equipment specifications, technical bid tabs and review / approve vendor submittals

REQUIREMENTS

- Chemical Engineering degree required. PE License in Chemical Engineering a plus, or qualified to pursue PE registration
- 5 to 10 years experience in engineering design
- Exhibit basic understanding of chemical engineering calculations (mass and energy balances, heat transfer calculations, etc.) and knowledge of applicable codes / standards
- Experience with cGMPs and sanitary design desired
- Any combination of design experience in Chemicals, Polymers, Bio-Industrial / Bio-Fuels, Oil & Gas and/or Pharmaceuticals
