THE ROYAL AND ANCIENT GOLF CLUB OF ST ANDREWS

With The Open Championship returning to St Andrews this year, and the re-opening of our newly refurbished facilities in Forgan House, we are seeking the following staff to join this famous established organisation of over 260 years' standing. We operate seven days a week with full time staff working 5 days out of 7. Food service is predominately based at lunch times but evening functions are a feature of all these posts.

Deputy Dining Room Manager

(Permanent Position)

Experienced supervisor required to assist and support the Dining Room Manager in maintaining the highest standards in all aspects of service. You will have excellent attention to detail and have a willingness to learn new skills and procedures. Strong communication skills and a high standard of personal presentation, together with being a strong team player are essential.

Deputy Forgan House Manager

(18 Month fixed term contract)

The requirements for this post are the same as those stated for the Deputy Dining Room Manager, although the scope is wider as this operation entails both Bar and Dining service.

Forgan House Receptionist

(Seasonal 7 month fixed term contract)

The successful candidate will be a well organised, well presented personable individual who is attentive to detail and will appreciate the requirement of looking after the needs of Members and Guests to the highest standards. This role includes Reception duties as well as being responsible for the presentation of the foyer and the ladies' locker room.

Waiting/Bar Staff

(Seasonal 7 month fixed term contract)

We are looking for both full and part time Waiting/Bar staff to join our team. The successful candidates will ideally have experience in front of house service and be willing to learn our systems and procedures. Full training will be given. Smart appearance and good communication skills are essential. We are looking for candidates who will join a dedicated team in providing excellent service.

Chefs

(18 Month fixed term contract)

There are two positions available. Minimum qualifications required are NVQ 1 and 2 as well as basic food hygiene. As a successful candidate you will be self-motivated as well as being able to work as part of an established team. You will be dedicated, hardworking and have a keen eye for detail which is required for the quality of food produced as well as a passion for cooking and a willingness to learn new skills and procedures.
