Chassis Design Engineer

I am looking for someone who has a few years of experience on motorsport/high performance automotive engineering working with 3D modelling and technical drawing skills ideally with Unigraphics/
NX and teamcentre

Candidates with FEA, surfacing or trackside experience will be of significant interest.

JOB PURPOSE: To lead and manage Chassis Design Engineering projects ensuring that efficient, cost effective and customer focused projects, products and services are delivered at all times.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

To plan and coordinate project design activities
To lead Chassis Design Engineering projects, ensuring all departmental operating practices and procedures are followed and performance criteria are met according to the design specification.
To approve all project drawings and Engineering Releases to ensure that the Technical Specification is met and the BOM is correct.
To produce accurate design specifications to make sure the customer (internal or external) and project objectives are met.
To design parts and assemblies fit for purpose with minimum modification or development through their life cycle.
To record and document calculations, design reference data and correspondence to ensure that the design process can be reviewed at a later date.
To produce supporting documentation, follow part manufacture and first fitment to make sure parts and assemblies are fitted to the design intent.
To ensure that the CAD and Team Centre BOMs are correct and aligned to Engineering Release process.
To manage project and personal CCCs, and ensure efficient, accurate and robust solutions are implemented in a timely manner.
To lead and manage Chassis Design projects such that clients' expectations are exceeded.
To promote and develop effective communication and team working relationships between Chassis Design and all other departments to contribute to the overall effectiveness of working procedures.
To enhance reputation for producing quality products and services through the activities of Design.
To meet contractual obligations to every client, including maintaining client confidentiality.
