Chart of Accounts & Mapping File Maintenance Analyst

A globally renowned publishing organisation are seeking a Chart of Accounts & Mapping File Maintenance Analyst with a strong Finance background (qualified or PQ with strong
Attention to detail, rigour and integrity to a very high level) who is available immediately to join their team for a long time contract.

The contract will be an initial 3 months with a high possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

Chart of Accounts Segment Value and Mapping Maintenance Work

1. Maintaining segment values
For the non-product segments of the R12 Chart of Accounts (Company, Responsibility Centre, Account, Analysis, Subscription Year and Inter-company)
* Assigning the relevant segment value and segment value description for new segment values and parent segment values (eg where an equivalent is created in 11i and needs to be created in R12, or a value is required for new global processes and does not exist in 11i etc.)
* Assigning the new values into the relevant part of any hierarchy that exists (eg Responsibility Centre to Parent Responsibility Centre)
* Deleting values that are no longer required from the segment value files (and mapping file - see below) * Maintaining an audit trail by updating a change log for all amendments
* Ensuring alignment between systems that share common values with R12 (eg Parent Responsibility Centres with HFM, Responsibility Centres with Peoplehub)

2. Maintaining 11i to 12 mapping
For the non-product segments of the R12 Chart of Accounts (Company, Responsibility Centre, Account, Analysis, Subscription Year and Inter-company)
* Mapping the relevant 11i segment value to the correct R12 segment value
* Updating or deleting mappings due to changes in the underlying segment values (see above)
* Maintaining an audit trail by updating a change log for all amendments

For complex product mappings (ie those mappings from multiple 11i segments to the R12 Product segment)
* Mapping the relevant 11i segment values to the correct R12 product value
* Updating or deleting mappings due to changes in the underlying segment values (see above)
* Maintaining an audit trail by updating a change log for all amendments

3. Issue resolution work
Working with Chart of Accounts lead to identify and resolve issues arising from Cross Validation Rule failures relating to import of data, or posting of transactions during testing.
* CVR failures - generating a spreadsheet for the relevant failure code and reviewing these line by line to agree how to resolve eg CVR update required, mapping, new segment value
* Reviewing any Quality Centre defects arising during testing relating to Chart of Accounts and assigned to decide how to resolve in either segment value file, mapping file or both
* Implementing the resolution in the segment value or mapping file as required
* Maintain audit trail of changes.
