Charles River v9 Business Analyst

We are currently looking for a contract Business Analyst to work on an upgrade of Charles River from version 8.2 to version 9.1. The BA will work closely with the Project Manager and the Technical teams whist maintaining close relationships with the business users to identify and document requirements and manage testing activities.

Very strong Front to Back Business Analysis skills with substantial and recent experience in a Buy Side environment are required.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Thorough understanding of the Asset Management functions and excellent product knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of Charles River version 9
- Experience in documenting business workflows and translating them into both high level and detailed specifications
- Some technical understanding of the Charles River database and ability to navigate the data structure via SQL queries
- Support Project Manager(s) and Development Manager(s) on the Charles River upgrade project and other initiatives by applying business analysis skills on the tasks allocated
- Manage the allocated workload and provide regular updates to Project Manager(s) and/or Development Manager(s)
- Understand, to the level required, project process and requirements in order that work carried out is in alignment with them.
- Act as subject matter expert to the project(s) allocated in all Business Analysis related activities
- Produce documentation to commonly accepted Business Analysis standards
- Provide regular reporting as required and appropriate

Person Specification:

- Very strong Business Analysis skills gained in a Buy Side environment
- Knowledge of Asset Management functions from Front through to Back Office, and all supporting functions, is critical.
- Excellent knowledge of Charles River, ideally having worked on an upgrade project
- First-rate communicator at all levels, with excellent interpersonal skills and desire to fully participate in the team
- Good technical aptitude and literacy
- Driven individual is required, with track record of being delivery focussed, and desire and ability to implement the 80/20 rule
