Charging System Engineer - ECMS Platform - Ericsson

The BO Charging System Engineer will be responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the customers charging systems. Additionally if required, Emergency Support handles and CSR Handling, Disturbance Investigation and troubleshooting. Meet customers' KPI's.

Required skills and activities should include, but not be limited to:

- Experience with Integrating CS 5.0 to an existing Network. added advantage
- Experience with configuring the following Charging System nodes: MINSAT, CRS, VXML-IVR, CCN, SDP, AIR/AF, VS, EMM and ERE (AIR/SDP), CCN
- More than 2 years of experience with systems integrations, implementations and interactive designs with Software Systems
- More than 2 years of experience within a technical System Integration Environment
- Good background with Shell Scripting, Solaris10, Oracle10G and Sybase
- Good understanding of Operating Systems (eg Solaris) etc.
- Good practical Experience with Charging System 3. CS-5 will be ideal
- Good understanding with CC-API, UCIP, VSIP, RpC, CIP/SS7, CAPV2, SCAPV1/V2, CIP/IP, XML_Web_Services, etc.
- Good analytical ability, problem solving, Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently, while managing customer expectations.
- Ability to evaluate customer requirements and provide solutions with support from other team members.
- Customer focused and results oriented
- Works well under pressure, Attention to details, Fast practical learning.
- Authorized for raising CSR to next level of support in consultation.
- Clearing of assigned Trouble Tickets.
- Raise Work Orders towards the Field Maintenance organization.
- Follow up with Ericsson Local support for speedy resolution of CSRs.
- Second level service problem restoration.
- To ensure second level preventive maintenance is being done for all nodes.
- To handle and analyze Trouble Tickets and recommend timely actions and solutions to Trouble Tickets when necessary.
- To handle and execute the Change Request in stipulated time frame.
- Raise CSR towards ELS.
- To ensure new nodes are integrated as per the standardized processes.
- Independently handle upgrade/updates of live nodes.
- Rollout of New Feature as per MOP.
- Interact with Customer's top level management to understand their requirements and give feasibility for implementation of the same.
- To delegate within the team so as to utilize man power efficiently.
- To identify and ensure that the team members get necessary trainings
- Interface with other organizational entities such as Country Solutions, FO, Projects, FM, MMSI etc.
- Ability to perform under time constrains depending upon the business requirements.
- Charging System 3/4/5.0.
- Competence in UNIX operating system is essential.
- Knowledge of databases is essential.
- Understand the interworking of Charging System nodes with HLR, MSC and other Servers.
- Ability to work on new features independently.
- Ability to learn the working of new nodes which are added in the network.
- Ability to prepare implementation instructions without supervision
- Ability to analyze and provide recommendations to Customer Service Requests and O&M queries of complex nature.
- Good knowledge of support and supply processes.
