Change Manager - Transport

My client is seeking a Change Manager to work on a 3 month contract basis in their Parramatta Office.

You will be required within the transport sector to coordinate and ensure that changes to IT infrastructure are controlled and managed through standardised procedures to minimise the likelihood of impact to IT services.

As a process manager, you will be working closely with the asset and configuration manager with one of our existing clients, coordinating change implementation with program staff and customer teams, provide overall management and direction for the change management practice for all program staff and customers and support the business in implementing successful change with minimal impact to the business.

Key accountabilities as a Change Manager:

- Ensure change procedures are in place that meets the business needs.
- Ensuring the Change Management Practice is compliant with the Change Management Process
- Coordinate Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities, including meetings to ensure change indicators are present and prepared for change review, including approval or rejection of all changes.
- Drive reduction of unscheduled and unapproved changes.
- Ensure statistical data is maintained and reported to management, team and client as required.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve existing processes and procedures, implementing changes as appropriate
- Ensure changes are accurately assessed for impact, cost, benefit and risk.
- Ensure changes are scheduled, approved and have business justifications.

You will have the following Technical Skills:

- Typically university qualified with at least 5 years work experience in a Service Management environment, including workforce management and hands on supervisory & leadership experience
- Proven practical experience with ITIL,
- ITIL Foundation Certificate Version 3 essential
- Familiar with standards and practices for Project Management (PRINCE2)
- Collation of monthly reports and the like essential.
- Customer and business facing skills and experience
- Ability to work with stakeholders and vendors
- Ability to chair and coordinate CAB meeting, following up as needed
- Experience in implementing change processes and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
