Change Manager - (Financial Data)

Change Manager role to work for a leading retail bank based in Manchester. (Solvency II)

Please note this is not a technical data role.

This position would suit someone from an Interim Management/Consultancy background.

Role Overview:
To directly influence our success in achieving Solvency II compliance by building strong relationships with key stakeholders and establishing an effective Data Management Framework that ensures all data related activities are executed appropriately and in compliance with applicable baseline controls. An ambassador for Solvency II, the role holder will champion broader awareness and adoption of the legislative requirements across the organisation.

Responsibilities:
Own the Data Quality Policy
Monitor Data Quality compliance against legal, regulatory and policy requirements (eg Solvency II)
Ensure Data Quality issues are made visible to Senior Management for appropriate action
Chair the SII Data Working Group/Data Quality Forum and drive the group towards a common objective
Create and implement Data Quality scorecards, monitor the effectiveness of data quality controls
Champion the development and remediation of data related issues (maintains the Data Quality Remediation Log)
Identify relevant data quality related training needs and facilitate delivery of training
Persuade staff to change their way of working to incorporate quality methods
Provide thought leadership and guidance to all senior stakeholders

Key Skills Required:
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
Prior senior management experience in a Quality Management/Data Quality/Data Management discipline
General Insurance experience
Experience of Change Management principles and methodologies; Prince II, PMI, MSP (or equivalent) qualifications a plus
Knowledge of how Data Quality can impact legal, regulatory and policy requirements (Solvency II a plus)
Excellent communications skills, able to present compelling presentations on complex subjects to senior stakeholders
Problem solver
Confidence to challenge working practices and build a network of key influencers across the business
Ability to navigate reporting tools (eg Cognos, Business Objects, SAS, etc) to gather data for reporting purposes
Knowledge/appreciation of data manipulation tools/techniques ie SAS, SQL, Excel (although this is not a technical role)
