The Change Control Manager is responsible for developing a consolidated view of changes and reports that incorporate current change management processes in use by Engineering and Data Center Operations. This position will also track, document, report and maintain metrics for all consolidated changes.

The successful candidate will have a proven ability to operate across IT organizational levels and computing groups to fulfil the lead development, delivery and on-going support of a collaborative change management process utilizing existing and new functionality.

Serve as a Configuration Management Database administrator for support of Engineering Product Lifecycle Management tool.

While the Change Control Manager does not have supervisory responsibility, this person will work though many others in the organization to succeed. The Change Control Manager will support teams in integrating new solutions. In addition, the Change Control Manager may provide direct support and or coaching to front-line managers and supervisors as they support their direct reports through change control transitions.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with other IT Functional Managers to produce change reports and process improvements.
- Provide guidance to subject matter experts on change management processes, ensure requests meet all objectives to increase success factors, and identify and assist with developing good communication of changes.
- Provide the focal point role in the coordination, effective implementation and support of Change Control Management.
- Lead and manage the scope, timing, quality, communication, and integration requirements to implement a comprehensive, consolidated Change Management program based on collective requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement of Change Control policies, processes and procedures including regular updates of policy and procedural documentation.
- Work closely with Engineering and Data Center Operations to create a collaborative team approach and methodology for the quick adoption and full utilization of the change management process.
- Ensure excellent communication, documentation and training is available to mentor and help support technical staff and leadership on the Configuration Management Database tools and procedures for systematic, efficient processing of all change requests.
- Facilitate Change Control Board meetings and communicate approved changes.
- Serve as an administrator for the Configuration Management Database including administration of users, data base fields, attributes, mapping, maintenance schedules, system change requests and release management.
- Provide reporting metrics for Change Control statistics

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field, or technical certification in combination with a minimum of three years' experience in information systems
- 5 years' experience in a Change Control Manager role
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes: Asset, Change, Configuration, Problem, Incident and Release Management
- Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL), database design, operating systems (ie Windows Server 2008, Solaris, Linux or AIX), Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) (ie Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle)
- Excellent written, verbal communication and statistical reporting capabilities
- Outstanding organizational and documentation management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Flexible with shifting priorities
- Project management skills.
- Highly tuned leadership skills.
- Ability to understand business strategies and relate strategies to IT initiatives.
- Ability to maintain professional relationships

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Working knowledge of server-based, storage, Data Center Operations, infrastructure, and development (test, dev. and prod) environments
- Knowledge of ITIL Change best practices
- Knowledge of Change Control KPI's
