Purpose of Role

Working within the Change, Configuration and Release Management team, YBS are looking to recruit a temporary Change, Configuration and Release Analyst.

The primary focus of this role will be on applying the Society's Change, Configuration and Release policies to manage (and deploy where appropriate) IT Changes through their full life cycle, ensuring that Changes are recorded, evaluated, authorised, prioritised, planned, tested, implemented, documented and reviewed in a controlled manner, thus ensuring minimum disruption or impact on Live services.

You will be required to provide support and guidance to internal customers of the Change Management function, ensuring that strong relationships are built and customer satisfaction levels are improved, as well as being accountable for meeting or exceeding change management targets including Change success rate. Risk and Conflict Management is also a key aspect of the role to ensure Service Continuity is maintained.

This role also includes the updating of the Configuration Management database (CMDB) after the implementation of changes and the creation of new Configuration Items (CIs) when required.

If you:
Have a good understanding of Service Management principles and disciplines, based on ITIL best practice
Have the ability to use a wide range of communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate at all levels.
Are meticulous and assertive
Have excellent MS Office skills.
Can work effectively with minimal supervision.
Possess good problem solving and resolution skills and a high level of analytical skills
Are able to work flexibly under pressure and prioritise work accordingly
Have excellent relationship building skills.
Can use your own initiative.
Have an organised and methodical approach
Possess excellent customer care skills with the ability to identify a customer's requirements and to recognise whether these can be effectively and safely met
Have the ability to handle detailed technical and non-technical data, and comprehend and communicate essential information in a compelling way to non technical production staff.
