We need urgently (X2) Change and Release management consultants for new projects.
A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF METHODOLOGIES BUT WILL COMBINE THAT WITH A HANDS ON MENTALITY AND HAVE A FULL TOOLBOX OF TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE.
Release Management Consultant will part of the team responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of software releases within his/her scope, and communication around these activities. He/She also takes ownership of the Release Management process and reporting on Release Management KPI's.
The Change Management Consultant will be responsible for the assessment of new or upgraded IT systems and projects. He/She will be responsible for ensuring the impact to the production environment is known and minimized. The change manager will work together with IT Teams to guide them through the required steps to implement the change. He/She will organize the CAB when required, and build a relationship with Change teams, Business and Operations to ensure business processes are understood and working practices are adjusted.
ROLE/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Release management team member is responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of software releases within his/her scope, and communication around these activities. He/She also takes ownership of the Release Management process and reporting on Release Management KPI's.
The Change management team member will be responsible for the assessment of new or upgraded IT systems and projects. He/She will be responsible for ensuring the impact to the production environment is known and minimized. The change manager will work together with IT Teams to guide them through the required steps to implement the change. He/She will organize the CAB when required, and build a relationship with Change teams, Business and Operations to ensure business processes are understood and working practices are adjusted.
A successful candidate will have good knowledge of methodologies but will combine that with a hands on mentality and have a full toolbox of technical knowledge and experience.
GENERAL ACTIVITIES:
-Plan and manage the capacity and resources required to validate and deploy a release (Service)
-Produce/Gather relevant risk indicators in order to allow the dedicated bodies to decide about the releases GO/NO GO, Be part of the decision body for release GO/NO GO (incl. checking functional unit & integration test completeness)
-Have in depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, on order to analyze changes, and assist the Service Integration and the IT Operations team in understanding the impact and creating an implementation strategy.
-Be able to identify weaknesses in update and upgrade strategies. Understand dependencies between infrastructure and complex applications.
-Ensure any change risks or issues are highlighted in good time to the appropriate boards
-Plan changes, taking into consideration the different Service Levels and their dependencies
-Monitor operational performance of the process and elaborate reporting (KPI, )
-Report on release and deployment activities
