Olive View-UCLA Medical Center is seeking an outstanding academic and dynamic leader to serve as Chair of the Department of Surgery. Olive View-UCLA Medical Center is a premiere health care institution serving the greater San Fernando Valley Community within the Department of Health Services of the County of Los Angeles. With its 377-bed hospital Olive View is a major UCLA teaching affiliate located against the backdrop of the beautiful San Gabriel mountains surrounding the San Fernando Valley. The Chair of the Department of Surgery at Olive View-UCLA has leadership responsibilities for the divisions of General Surgery, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, Opthalmology, Optometry, Audiology, Head and Neck Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Orthophedic Surgery. The department provides essential services at a busy public hospital with a new emergency department, a 10 room operating suite, and UCLA graduate medical education programs in nearly all departments and divisions.
