Ceramic Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a CERAMIC TECHNICIAN to join our client in Niskayuna, NY.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Terrific full time contract opportunity (1st shift) for a professional individual ready to move ahead in a great career.
- As a Ceramic Technician for this company, you will be responsible for performing research functions such as ceramic processing, slip casting, sintering, Slurry formulation, operating and maintenance of laboratory equipment including furnaces, and high temperature test facilities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelors of Science Degree in Ceramics Engineering or Material Science with at least one year of hands on experience
- Characterization skills, such as microstructural analyses, chemical analyses, and X-ray diffraction, are also preferred
- Hands on experience in slurry formulation and/or tape casting
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining commitment to quality
- Strong attention-to-detail is a MUST
- Team player with ability to work independently and interface with diverse population.
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
