CEO - Public Sector - Long Contract

I am currently recruiting for highly experienced CEO. This opportunity is based in Central London on an 11 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on an extremely interesting project that will help change the way this department carries out its responsibilities.

This new position will lead a public/private sector team focusing on matching foreign institutional investment from a small number of identified markets with a strong pipeline of urban regeneration projects across the UK.

Objective:
This role is about taking the organisation to the next level of development, in particular the delivery of project wins, each typically between £250m-£1bn gross development value.

Role:
* Leading RIO at a strategic, tactical and operational level, drawing on strategic advice from Ministers, UKTI, RIO's Chairman and Advisory Board;
* Directing both the supply and demand side of RIO's business through two-way relationships with developers, investors and business multipliers; reporting, budget management, interacting with project sponsors and investors- BOARD LEVEL Senior Stakeholders across all industry.
* Ensuring the full support of government to deliver business wins, including from local authorities, devolved administrations, central government and UKTI/FCO's diplomatic network;
* Motivating and supporting best practice across the RIO team, including helping UKTI to review and improve its effectiveness.

Essential experience:
-Demonstrable experience delivering within the urban regeneration sector and in particular the financial structuring of such projects;

* Business and financial acumen including experience of delivering high level and complex commercial deals as well as understanding how institutional investors approach project investment in the UK;
* An understanding of the international financial investment markets and the legal frameworks surrounding those markets;

Personal attributes:
* A self-starter with commercial vision, an objective leader who can influence and motivate;
* Strong communication skills and credible at all levels. This role is a fixed-term (extendable) contract with an attractive package and is likely to be Full time or near full-time.
