CDM Coordinator

CDM Co-ordinator - 3 Month Contract- Transport Client

Advantage Resourcing is seeking a CDM Coordinator (Construction, Design and Management) for a contract based in a Central London location.

This is initially until April 2015 and will be at the limited rate of £270- £335 per day. The position requires the post holder to undertake the role of CDM Co-ordinator on specific construction projects subject to the CDM Regulations.

It involves advising client areas and designers across Surface Transport of their statutory obligations and assisting them with maintaining project compliance. Accountabilities of the role:

*Perform role of CDM Co-ordinator on specific projects subject to the Construction Design and Management Regulations
*Coordinate activities of design, procurement and eventually construction delivery from the point of view of ensuring full compliance with the statutory requirements of The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007.
*Advise client areas of their statutory responsibilities under the CDM Regulations 2007
*Assist with the compliance required
*Undertake site visits
*Gain information from the client and other areas for the pre-construction documentation
*Ensuring Designers comply with their statutory responsibilities under the Regulations.
*Ensure that Designers liaise with the others
*Responsible for notifying the project to the Enforcing Authority.
*Advise the clients on the construction plans
*Prepare health and safety information to the designers and contractors

You will be reporting into a Senior Health and Safety Advisor but be working closely with the client and other Health and Safety officers.

We are seeking candidates with:

*Understanding of construction and engineering & other technical requirements
*Health and Safety knowledge
*Polices implementation experience
*Design making skills, communication skills
*CDM Management systems knowledge, AutoCad and MS Project
*Excellent report writing and document assessment
*Ideally a qualification in construction/engineering (eg CEng, ICE, IStructE, IEE, IMechE, RIBA, RICS,)
*Nebosh certification
