Category Sourcing Manager - Technology - Tier 1 Investment bank - London - 3-6 months

POSITION DESCRIPTION

- Lead contract negotiations, develop and drive the long term commercial strategy for a specific commodity/Line of Business.
- In-depth experience required in the Telecoms, Software, Hardware category.
- Engagement and influence at senior levels within managed business lines.
- Review and document technical and business requirements, specifications and processes with line of business and information technology.
- Provide information, feedback and guidance to senior management on selection of specific partners.
- Work with internal teams (legal/risk/compliance) to proactively manage the supplier life cycle aligned to company policy and procedures.
- Conduct appropriate benchmarking and market analysis.
- Prepare and evaluate various proposals from suppliers (RFP's RFQ's), prepare cost and value analysis and make recommendations.
- Present necessary recommendations to management concerning proposals from supplier
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance preferred.
- CPM/CIPS certification a plus
