Category Procurement Manager - Scientific

My client is a Government body seeking the support of an experienced hands-on interim procurement professional with specific experience in procuring scientific equipment

Key outputs:

- to lead specific sourcing activities for the category
- provide professional procurement and commercial advice
- ensure that VFM is achieved by the business
- ensuring that a customer focused, compliant service is provided to the business

Key skills and experience required for the role:

- experience procuring scientific equipment, capital equipment, diagnostic kits and the like
- experience of OJEU and EU Procurement rules and regs
- strong customer engagement skills
- a strong work ethic
- experience of working in a healthcare environment beneficial
- a strong background in procurement and contract management, ideally gained in the public sector or NHS

This position might suit someone who doesn't have all the requisite skills, but is developing and has a superb proactive attitude
