CATEGORY MANAGER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in St. Louis, MO.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- Supply Chain management experience.
- Procurement leadership experience.
- Ariba software experience.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- The Category Manager's primary responsibility is to utilize strategic sourcing best practices extrapolating real savings while making effective supply base decisions. This includes direct savings captured through consolidating company-wide purchasing volume and applying operational and commercial total cost of ownership levers to reduce cost and managing contracts with suppliers.
- This position will be responsible for approximately $100M in annual spend.
- Align and collaborate all North America facilities to drive sourcing initiatives and support the business needs of the Company community.
- Track Forecasted vs actual savings for the category and be responsible for communicating performance against these measures and the potential budgetary impact.
- Develop and implement strategies and establish and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure successful implementation and support.
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as any internal policies (eg code of ethics) or procedures to ensure that the behavior exhibited by the organization with the highest level of integrity, honesty, and transparency.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- BA/BS in Supply Chain Management/Business/Engineering or related field required.
- Successful track record in a global procurement organization.
- Able to work in a Matrix environment and aggressively take the lead on implementation savings opportunities in numerous lines of business.
- Able to develop strong relationships and networks with the supported business functions.
- Experience three (3) plus years.
- Experience with Ariba desirable.
