CATEGORY MANAGER, HOUSING, PROPERTY, ASSET MANAGER, PUBLIC SECTOR - LONDON

Category Manager is urgently required to join an existing Procurement Team in the UK Housing sector. Following continued growth across the business, a Procurement specialist, Category Manager will become a critical part of the team, will hit the ground running and help to establish wide category strategies to deliver value for money and consistency across the group.

Essential skills and experience:

" You will have a proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects within a Housing/Property/Asset Management category with equivalent levels of spend (£60m-£80m p.a.) and delivery of significant cost savings via a range of strategies eg tendering, process improvements, e-auctions, spec rationalisation.

" You will have proven track record of applying best practice category management tools and methodologies.

" You will be able to make immediate impact into a fast paced, commercial environment.

" You must be able to demonstrate a repertoire of procurement skills, where you can approach a category strategy from different angles, resulting in cost savings/consolidation, efficiency improvements, risk mitigation etc.

" You will be passionate about the benefits a modern procurement function can deliver and communicate excellently with the business to ensure complete buy in.

" You will be familiar with governance, regulations, policy, risk.
