Category Lead - Tech

Our market leading client is looking for a Category Lead who has relevant Financial Services experience

You will have:

- Good knowledge of procurement (public and/or private sector) which is relevant to the Financial Services category in particular in relation to Payment Cards, Fuel Cards and Merchant Acquiring.
- A high degree of market awareness, with demonstrable experience of innovative approaches to procuring services and of managing complex (and high value) commercial arrangements.
- Technical proficiency within Merchant Acceptance and Fuel Cards areas; sufficient to act as an intelligent customer in dealings with suppliers and sufficient to engage in meaningful, challenging conversations with customers.
- Well developed analytical, organisational and problem solving skills.
- Uses information to ensure the evidence base for client strategy and work is open to critical challenge and inspires the confidence of stakeholders
- Ability to think broadly about end to end procurement and to optimise the end to end service within the category.
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills, including the ability to engage and influence in complex customer and supplier environments
- An excellent communicator, with consultative selling skills and the gravitas to build credible peer relationships with decision makers
- Strong numeracy skills with the ability to confidently handle numbers and/or undertake complex statistical analysis
- Proven Project Management skills
