Category Lead - Interim Staffing

Category Lead (interim staffing and support), London

An innovative and leading department within UK Central Government is looking to recruit a Category Lead on an interim basis for initially 3 months. This role will report into the Programme Director and will play a major part in a complex project which is aimed at better defining the use of Procurement as a department throughout Government.

The role will be responsible for:

. Developing, in consultation with HR and procurement practitioners, outline category, procurement and workforce strategies for temporary labour. Including development and appraisal of options, costs, benefits and risks.
* Engaging with partner organisations, including the new Crown Commercial Service to develop propositions for the organisation to better realise efficiencies and savings through national and sub-national procurement arrangements.
* Managing projects that address the reduction in temporary staffing spend.
* Collaborate effectively with other workstream leads in the programme, especially those responsible for Key Supplier Management, price benchmarking and non-clinical category management.

The successful candidate will have experience of. Developing and implementing workforce strategies. Experience of working in complex workforce groups. Knowledge of procuring temporary staff. Working effectively with 'end users'. Development of procurement category strategies,. Presenting cases, interacting and influencing at board level.. Managing third parties in the delivery of projects. Building effective partnerships with key stakeholder groups in a complex commercial and political environment.
