Working within the Defence sector, my client is looking to recruit a Category Lead to deliver category and supply chain management capabilities with value management expertise to achieve increased product and service quality, reduced cost of ownership and enhance operating efficiencies within a defined area of category responsibility.
Responsibility will include; developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, delivering high quality solutions to meet the short, medium and long terms needs of the organisation. Acting as a mentor to team members providing guidance and support where required, conducting continual market analysis to identify and manage external influences on all category management strategies. Creating a comprehensive PSL with detailed and relevant product/service capabilities.

Previous commercial management experience within a similar positions across multiple categories, organisations and industries is required. In addition, knowledge of category business models and a full membership of MCIPS or working towards is desired.
