Category Account Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client is currently looking for Category Account Manager based at their global headquarters in Surrey. This is a full time temporary role for a period of 12 months.

My client is recruiting for a Category Manager to work on a food category with two UK Groceries. The role will report into the Senior Category Manager for Refreshment and will require an experienced Category manager with major multiples experience. This is a pivotal role within the refreshment team that requires a highly ambitious and motivated candidate who is equally comfortable and adept working on their own as they are presenting and stakeholding senior internal and customer contacts.

The role will require an individual with a high degree of data literacy and an ability to turn complex issues into easily digestible and actionable actions. The successful individual will need to understand the processes and practices of category management and will need to have had at least two years' experience in category management within the FMCG environment.

Experience of working with major multiple grocers for a minimum of 2 year is essential and a minimum 2 years' experience of working in category management within the FMCG environment.
You will have experience of Line Management and also working and reporting to Directors.

REQUIREMENTS: -
*High degree of data literacy, specifically Kantar, Nielsen, IRI, Dunnhumby and Aimia
*Experience of working with major multiples for at least 2 years (Tesco experience desirable)
*Knowledge of range and merchandising processes
*An ability to engage senior external and internal customers with confidence (Essential)
*Strong evidence of delivering ideas through to implementation
*Convenience store experience would be a benefit
*Educated to degree level
*Experience of working in an FMCG environment (Ice Cream, Soft Drinks, Confectionary experience preferred
