Caseworker

My Birmingham based client is seeking a Caseworker/Caseworker Assistant for a 12 month contract.

Job Purpose:
Carry out the role of a caseworker preparing submissions to the Traffic Commissioner, drafting letters, calling operators to public inquiry and clerking public inquiries.

Essential Experience Required:
* Good organisational and administrative skills
* Good analysis and problem solving skills
* Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and agreed standards.
* Excel and e-mail
* Good verbal and written communications skills.
* Knowledge of IT systems, particularly Word, Excel and Lotus Notes.

Desirable
* Experience of applying policy and guidelines to casework.
* Stakeholder management skills with the ability to work with an independent non-civil servant regulator.
* Knowledge of operator licensing and vocational driver legislation.

Essential
*Travel with occasional overnight stays will be a requirement of this post
