We have urgent requirements for an experienced Care Support Worker in the Newcastle area with the key skills below:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE OF PROVIDING DOMESTIC CARE AND HOUSEHOLD DUTIES FOR FEMALE AND MALE RECIPIENTS IN THEIR HOME.

ADS Care provides domestic assistance and household duties for people with disabilities and the elderly we are currently recruiting care workers for the Newcastle area.

This position will be working within the home environment of the person being supported and flexible work hours are required.

You will have some very strong experience with household Support Work to ensure that highest standards of domestic support are delivered to our clients.

Working both independently and occasionally with other members of our team, you will aim to provide a high quality service whilst reporting any maintenance and health & safety issues to the senior member of staff. Your main duties will include the cleaning of all required areas as well as household support tasks such as laundry/shopping/cleaning etc.

The successful candidate will need to understand the importance of independent living and have a passion for working to a high standard. It is essential for you to have excellent customer service skills with an ability to communicate well both verbally and written. You will need to be able to undertake a patient and confidential approach with work situations as well as having a commitment to safe working practise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ensure that quality service is being delivered to people being supported.
- Ensure that the rights, interests and needs of the person are addressed effectively.
- Ensure that the person is respected and service/support provided is culturally sensitive
- Ensure that all ADS Care Policies and Procedures are complied with.
- Ensure that Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are adhered to.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

- Experience in providing care to people with physical needs.
- Experience working with people with challenging behaviours and/or high needs.
- Understanding and experience of working with people with a disability and the Elderly
