CARE SUPPORT WORKER CASTLE HILL AREA SYDNEY

We have an urgent requirement for an experienced casual Care Support Worker in the Castle Hill with the key skills below:

MUST HAVE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE OF PROVIDING CARE TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES, SPECIFICALLY WITH BEHAVIOURAL CHALLENGES

Service includes in-home respite, community access, transport with the possibility of some personal care duties.

YOU MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT AND STRONG AND ABLE TO MANAGE MALE RECIPIENTS
-

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO WORK UP TO 30 HOURS PER WEEK, SOMETIMES ADHOC
-

YOU WILL IDEALLY LIVE WITHIN 15 - 30 MINS OF CENTRAL CASTLE HILL

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

-

Ensure that quality service is being delivered to people being supported.
-

Ensure that the rights, interests and needs of the person are addressed effectively.
-

Ensure that the person is respected and service/support provided is culturally sensitive
-

Ensure that all ADS Care Policies and Procedures are complied with.
- Ensure that Occupational Health and Safety Policies and Procedures are adhered to.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

-

Experience in providing care to people with behavioural challenges
-

To be of a physically strong and resilient mind set.
-

Functional level of English literacy and competency in documentation.
-

Cert. III in Disability Services (or equivalent) or willingness to study.
-

Current Driver's Licence and car essential with Fully comprehensive insurance
-

Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain one
