Capital Markets Legal Assistant

Our Client, an Investment Bank in Central London is looking for a Capital Markets Legal Assistant for a 6 month contract.

The primary responsibility is to provide transaction management services to the Fixed Income investment banking operations.

This will include:

- Drafting documentation for drawdowns under the Banks Euro Medium Term Note Programme.
- This entails the review and or preparation of final terms documents, calculation agency agreements, dealer accession and confirmation letters and the review of any related swap documentation.
- The structures are very varied and include reverse convertibles, index linked, share/index basket linked, fund linked and credit linked issues along with more straightforward floating and fixed rate types.
- Whilst generally based on precedents, all transactional documentation requires full scrutiny and tailoring of the precedent as appropriate. Original drafting, including liaising with internal/external lawyers where necessary, and involvement in the development of templates for these and new structures as they evolve, will also be required.
- Liasing with the MTN Desk, traders, marketers, agents and operational departments to ensure successful closure of each issue, particularly in respect of new products or non-standard procedures.
- Monitoring of shared mailbox for legal queries and investigations.
- Maintenance of clear and complete files and records in respect of the above.
