Capacity Manager - Performance Manager - Performance Analyst - BMC

CAPACITY MANAGER - PERFORMANCE MANAGER - PERFORMANCE ANALYST - BMC

Our client, a large IT Consultancy, is looking to recruit the services of an experienced Capacity Manager/Performance Manager to work a 3 month contract near Glasgow (Clydebank).

The post holder must be an experienced Capacity Planning/performance management professional, and have proven expertise and experience in standard capacity/performance management methodologies, including:

Baselining.
Regression.
Forecasting.
Workload characterisation.
Demand Planning.

Ideally, candidates should have experience with BMC Performance Analysis tools, such as BMC Performance Assurance Visualizer, BMC Capacity Optimiser, BMC Patrol.

The post holder will therefore require technical understanding of disparate OS and Hardware systems (one or more):

Oracle Solaris
Red Hat Linux
IBM i-Series
IBM p-Series
IBM z-Series
MS Windows
VMWare

Experience with the following technologies would be useful:

- Knowledge of Middleware & other key application component software
- IBM WebSphere Application Server
- IBM WebSphere MQ
- Databases
- Oracle
- Microsoft SQL
- Understanding of ITIL framework.
- Scripting expertise (one or more):
- UNIX
- SQL
- Perl
