CAPACITY MANAGEMENT ANALYST/CAPACITY MANAGEMENT ENGINEER - TIVOLI STORAGE MANAGER

Capacity Management Analyst/Engineer required by our global client to develop and manage an in depth understanding of the operational and capacity limits of their IT systems and networks.

You will need to have strong experience in the following technologies:

- IBM Tivoli Storage Manager
- Linux and Windows platforms
- NetApp Data Ontap version 7 and above
- Oracle and SQLDatabase performance issues,
- BMC toolset or equivalent Performance Assurance tools
- Unix and Windows advanced level performance  tuning and optimisation skills
- ESX Server, Linux, iSeries, AS400, Wintel, Citrix, Solaris, AIX, SAN, Networks

Your responsibilities will include:

- Create, monitor and operate data back-up and restore procedures across all IT platforms.
- Ensure adherence to data quality/management best practices
- Enforce security standards on data stored on corporate infrastructure
- Ensure adoption of standard data tools and monitoring processes
- Establish Data Service classes, defining availability, response times, projected growth etc  
- Supply guidelines on data placement within the infrastructure
- Produce usage/growth reports and audit/access reports as required
- Liaise between internal  and third party storage/TSM suppliers
- Monitor storage utilisation, and produce regular reporting to Senior Management
- Ensure awareness and adherence to Information Security guidelines.
- Ensure that daily IT systems checks are completed thoroughly

Candidates must have substantial experience of Capacity Management environments, experience managing large numbers of systems (1000 plus), knowledge of HSM storage techniques. Significant experience in ESX Server, Wintel, Linux, Solaris, AIX are essential and experience in SAN, HPUX, Networks are desirable
