Job Role:
ELG FZE on behalf of FrontierMEDEX is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Canadian registered ACP/ICP medics to support their client's survey operations offshore Labrador and Newfoundland and Nova Scotia during the period c. May to October 2014.
With high standards of fitness and a proven emergency medical and trauma care background; candidates should be current in ACLS and ITLS certification. Previous offshore experience would be an advantage. A valid Offshore Safety and Survival Certificate, to include HUET, is a mandatory requirement.
Role duties include:
Provision of primary, emergency and trauma medical care to the vessels' crew, normally between 30-60 personnel
Provision of regular health campaigns to the crew
Promote healthy lifestyle options including motivating crew in relation to fitness training
A variety of health and safety related duties including water testing, injury prevention training, health & hygiene inspections
First aid training
Experience/Qualifications:
Computer literate
Able to work under their own initiative
Team player with an outgoing attitude
Interest in medical welfare, health, safety and hygiene promotion
General administration
