CAMERA COMPONENT IMAGE QUALITY TESTING ENGINEER SANTA CLARA, CA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

The Engineer in this position will capture mobile camera images for imaging R&D. Hands-on experience in conducting image quality testing on mobile camera components, eg image sensor, camera lens and modules, is needed.

Duties include the following:

- Follow testing procedure and maintain measurement automation system and data analysis tool.
- Measure such image quality (IQ) factors as MTF, chromatic aberration, lens shading, geometric distortion, dynamic range, SNR, color accuracy, etc.
- Enter IQ data into database.
- Generate IQ comparison reports.

Required Skills:

- Familiarity with the operational principle of camera sensor, lens and modules, along with their related IQ factors
- Basic image processing knowledge
- Familiarity with Matlab, Imatest tool, Microsoft Office
- Hands-on IQ testing skills

Preferred Skills:

- Database experience
- Optics design experience
- PCB board diagnosis
- C programming
- Experience/interest in photography
- Enthusiasm for camera image quality
- General knowledge about camera image processing pipeline

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 2 years required

DEGREE: B.S in EE, CS, CE, ME, Imaging Science, Physics, Optics or related
