CAD Technician

A global bio-pharmaceutical organisation is looking for a CAD technician for 12 month contract role, based in Ireland.
SUMMARY: Working in the bio-pharmaceutical industry in a regulated environment, back drafting and as-building of drawings. To include piping & instrumentation diagrams, wiring diagrams, equipment layouts, and architectural drawings. To support engineers and automation specialists of all disciplines through a variety of tasks including proposal drawings, red line mark ups, and sketches.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING:
- Perform field verification of installed equipment, pipework and systems. Generates as-built CAD drawings based on findings.
- Document and resolves discrepancies found in critical drawings through the quality systems.
- Edit and create engineering drawings in CAD format, based on red-line mark ups and sketches.
- Produce and distribute architectural and engineering prints, in support of manufacturing operations, regulatory filings, validation projects, and engineering projects.
- Uploading of engineering documents and drawings to Qumas (Electronic) document management system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant third level qualification with a minimum of 2 years AutoCAD experience in engineering or related field. May substitute equivalent work experience in lieu of third level qualification.
- Experience of Autodesk Vault, AutoCAD P&ID and Navies Works would be an advantage.
- Role would be ideally suited to someone from a piping background with experience of working in a regulated environment.
