CAD OPERATOR II needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Lake Mary, FL.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S LAKE MARY, FL LOCATION.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- CAD Operator II's utilize AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and AutoCAD Electrical to construct and revise civil and electrical design drawings from engineer's or designer's markups to support generating station, switchyard, substation, and corporate projects for the construction or maintenance of electrical utility facilities.
- Incumbents are expected to develop design skills in their field of study and the ability to work with greater independence.
- Prepares thorough and accurate drawings from verbal and written instructions, marked prints, sketches, field measurements, etc. Use and develop standards, work methods, compile 2D and 3D parts, blocks, and details that create more accurate and understandable drawings. Maintain and update electronic drawings in the company's document management system.
- Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities. Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance.
- Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities. Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills.
- Maintains accurate records and files.
- Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Either a graduate from a college or university with an Associate Degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology (or equivalent) with two to four (2-4) years of experience, or four to eight (4-8) years of experience and completed (30) credit hours in an approved technical program, or seven to fourteen (7-14) years of equivalent experience with no degree.
- Ability to deal with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Experience in the utility industry.
- Experience in either Autodesk Inventor 3D modelling or AutoCAD Electrical.
