CAD Operator/Drafter w/NX CAD Software Experience

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direct supervision, prepares mechanical drawings from layouts and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, utilizing CAD software. Provide draft support, which may include detailing, sub-assembly drawings as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide drafting support
- Knowledge and experience in using NX CAD software by Siemens PLM
- Consolidate details from a variety of hand sketches, prints and CAD model assemblies and instructions
- Make simple calculations and converts consolidated instructions into a workable shop drawing
- Produce detailing from CAD model assemblies and basic 2D/3D sub-assembly drawings
- Performs other duties as assigned by the reporting manager and senior staff
- to attend mandatory Laboratory training appropriate for his/her work activities

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must have a High School diploma and professional drafting and CAD training
- Experience with NX CAD software by Siemens PLM is a must
- Applicants must have a minimum of five years' experience in detail design and layout work using CAD with experience in mechanical design
- Applicants must have good communications skills and able to attend all mandatory Laboratory training

Work Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm
