CAD Draughtsman

Work with the Site Design Engineer and the Radio Planners for produce Installation Documentation for the VF/0" Cornerstone Project.

Your role will be to prepare all of the relevant drawings required by the Design Office. You will be reporting to the Cad Manager, Design manager and Engineers. Responsibilities will include, liaising with the Cad Manager/Structural/Electrical engineers utilising survey information, calculations etc and ensure fast and accurate production of planning and detailed design drawings. Production of photomontages is an advantage. You will need to demonstrate your ability to work in a busy team environment where meeting deadlines is crucial.

Previous experience in a telecommunications/design/construction/fabrication is essential and candidates will be required to demonstrate a good knowledge of the Telecom industry at interview stage. We require our Cad Technicians to be able to produce high quality 2D Cad drawings utilising AutoCad. Detail design drawings will include installations that require grillages and associated bespoke steelwork. CAD technicians are expected to be able to compile accurate and detailed fabrication drawings from information supplied by structural engineers. Detail Design Drawings are required to be of an accuracy and quality that will enable the production of steel fabrications by out sourced suppliers. A good working knowledge of BS8888 would be an advantage.
