CAD Designer

SUMMARY
Under the direction of senior engineers, interacts with engineers to develop printer component designs, develop 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation that are constructed per company's best practices.

DUTIES
1. Performs product development activities including 3D design work, and mechanical and assembly drawings per engineer or customer specifications and other documentation required.
2. Investigate and select mechanical components, assemblies and components.
3. Solve moderately complex technical design issues.
4. Constructs test feasibility models
5. Create thorough designs, documents and drawings of sufficient accuracy that they require minimal checking by senior engineer.
6. Accurately estimate time to complete tasks with a minimal supervisor help. Upon accepting the estimates of others, complete the task to schedule in a timely manner.
7. Prepare written documentation, reports, memoranda, or other data relative to assignments of a quality suitable for dissemination
8. Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

- AA Degree in Engineering Technology or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of Pro/Engineer/CREO CAD experience, plastics part design, and mechanism design experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, creative, and have an analytical capability.
