CA Gen Developer

An opportunity exists for an experienced CA Gen developer to support a range of applications. You will work as part of a team and be responsible for delivering a full range of design, development and implementation of applications using Microsoft Platform.

CANDIDATES WILL BE EXPECTED TO:

Work within a team of Developers, Business Analysts and Testers and will encompass the full software development life cycle from requirements gathering to implementation.

You are also expected to possess and demonstrate strong CA:Gen and SQL skills.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Analysis, design and programming of large systems using Advantage:Gen/Cool:Gen in a CICS/DB2 Mainframe environment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Advantage:Gen/Cool:Gen (including experience with native Cobol)
- GuardIEn
- Component based development
- CSE Access
- JCL and batch programming, and
- DB2 and SQL performance tuning.
- Well developed communication skills, including the ability to read, comprehend and write technical material effectively
- Strong negotiation and liaison skills
- The ability to communicate with staff from technical and non-technical backgrounds, and presentation skills.

DESIRABLE

- Knowledge of Sparx Enterprise Architect tool
