Nomura International plc. seek an experience Electronic Markets C#/WPF Developer to join the growing Rates and Cash team.

Department overview:

The Electronic Markets technology team has 80 resources spread across London, New York, Singapore, Tokyo and Mumbai. The team is responsible for all Real Time pricing and auto-quoting for the Front Office. This involves building Real Time pricing applications for Bonds, Derivatives, FX and electronic offerings across multiple ECN's and Nomura's single dealer platform. Following the Nomura and Lehman merger, a significant investment is being made to upgrade Nomura's electronic offering and the suite of applications used by the traders. The first stage of this is a green field electronic trading platform, including price creation, to replace multiple Legacy systems.

The ideal candidate will need to be able to confident enough to work from limited verbal specifications. Consequently good interpersonal skills are required as the candidate must have the ability communicate with the business effectively to ensure that projects meet their requirements.

Role description:

There is a mixture of technical delivery and team leadership in the role as the candidate will be responsible for interpreting and managing user interface requirements for the next generation of B2B and B2C platforms used by traders for electronic trading across a range of product areas including rates, FX and credit.  There is an emphasis on hands-on delivery as the team develop a global e-trading and autoquoting framework with a next generation range of trader tools for the management of quoting, client interaction and historical trade analysis which will enable traders to redefine their workflows and feedback into the development book of work.

Candidates must have experience of building user interface components in C# for an electronic trading environment for rates' products such as eurogovies and interest rate swaps on Bloomberg and TradeWeb. Knowledge of business concepts such as auto-quoting, spreading, skewing, firm pricing, and auto-hedging welcomed.  Candidates must be able to show an ability to take ownership of deliverables and work with junior developers to deliver on time and to specification.  A proven ability to turn high level business requirements into high quality solutions in tight deadlines is crucial.

Requirements to be successful in this role:

- Excellent C# skills with proven experience in senior development roles.
- Ability to provide clear technical direction to other developers, both onshore and offshore.
- Clear UI development skill set with understanding of mocking-up, prototyping and incremental delivery.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required

Essential:

- Experience developing rates e-trading user interfaces
- C#
- Rates (cash and derivatives) business experience
- Object Oriented Design and development
- Database and Middleware experience (JMS, Tibco, DB2. SQLServer)
- Experience of full project life cycle (requirements, design, development, tesing, deployment, version control)

Desirable:

- Smart trade
- FIX
- FX, equities and/or credit business knowledge and experience
- ION API familiarity
- Fasttrack API familiarity
- Agile processes & practices. eg Scrum

Successful candidates will be engaged under a contract for services by Resource Solutions.
