C++ Software Engineer

Our client is the world's leading computer components manufacturer seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer to design, program, debug, and modify software features and enhancements on a multi-OS and multi-platform Test Tool System.

This job involves working with architects and program management to define goals and develop software in a fast-paced, Agile development environment. The job involves programming the main execution agent for the Test Tool System in Python. This main execution agent communicates with Proxy applications executing on and specifically tailored to Linux (Java), Windows (C++, C#), and iOS (Objective-C) devices under test. The ideal candidate will be able to ramp quickly to modify and enhance existing Python code and have the ability to assist in development of Linux and/or iOS Proxy applications. The Test Tool System also involves a Back End database for storing test results which utilizes Python for the UI and MySQL for the database. The ideal candidate needs to display an understanding of database architecture, and MySQL experience is highly desired

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum BS degree in relevant field, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computational Science
- 5+ years relevant work experience in a software development role
- 5+ years of programming skills, including C++
- Windows/Android/Linux OS experience
- Minimum one year of Scripting experience

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience programming in Java, C# and C highly desired
- Android application development experience in Java desired
- Experience developing software for consumer products desired
- Python Scripting experience and knowledge of Django and South highly desired
- Experience with version control systems desired
- Git, or Mercurial or Perforce experience desired
- Database architecture experience desired, MySQL highly desired
- JSON and JavaScript experience desired
- iOS experience with Objective-C programming skills desired
- Familiarity with web standards (HTTP, SSL, REST) highly desired
