C# Software Engineer

Our client is a HUGELY POPULAR COMPUTER COMPONENTS MANUFACTURER seeking an Engineer to support work on TXT technology developing applications and scripts as needed to support a proof of concept (POC). This POC will be used to demonstrate how TXT can be used in a client scenario.

This candidate will be working as part of the Enterprise Integration Lab team to design, develop, and implement the work-load generation tools and management software plug-ins in order to demonstrate the client's platform technology value proposition in an integrated solution stack.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Designing, programming and implementation of integrated workload automation tool to demonstrate platform features
- Designing, programming and implementation of management software plug-ins and integrated demo solution against client platforms
- Collaborating with cross-organizational senior technical leads, external partners, and customers for software solutions development

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Bachelor or a Master of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent discipline with 3-5 years of enterprise IT infrastructure and application systems design and development experience covering all aspects of hardware and/or software provisioning and configuration in a Windows and/or Linux environment
- Proven work experience in software system design, development, implementation and software life cycle management
- Solid programming skills and experience writing applications in C#, C and/or C++,.NET Framework, VB Scripting, XML, and SQL database/MySQL
- Experience in Web Services and/or SOAP and Microsoft IIS ASP.NET programming
- Experience in developing 2-tier and 3-tier load testing scripts/tools in Microsoft IIS and Apache environments
- Ability to set up and run industry benchmarks like SpecWeb
- Experience in using at least one management software SDK from BMC, Tivoli, HP Openview, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager for developing plug-ins and extensions
- Strong problem solving skills with the ability to methodically analyze and resolve software system design and programming challenges
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Additional Skills (Nice to Have):

- Experience in developing VMware vSphere plug-ins using VMware SDKs
- PERL, Python programming, Apache PHP/Java Servlets
