C++ Software Engineer
Location: Sint-Niklaas, Belgium
Duration: 6 months+ (long term contract)
Pay Rate: €500 p/d

My Client, a leading high tech company involved in satellite communications, and the development of new technologies, is looking for an experienced team member for the Embedded software engineers group, participating in the design, specification, implementation, testing and bug fixing of the full software package.

Responsibilities:
* Translate the defined architecture in a detailed design, implement and test of the components
* Produce and execute unit and integration tests
* Debug problems and resolve root cause
* Document code, solutions and test cases
* Take up ownership of a specific system component
* Deliver the qualitative results within the project timeframe

Experience/Education:
* MSc Engineering/Computer Sciences or Telecommunications
* Experience in Telecom software development - 3 years
* Modular/OO programming, reusability, unit tests, continuous integration, UML, code refactoring
* C, C++, Linux development
* Writing efficient code
* Knowledge of IP and realted protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, etc)
* Result driven - focussing on conflict and problem solving skills
* Experience in team based development; proven experience with a software development process - 1 year
* Excellent written & spoken English
