C++ Software Development Engineer

DESCRIPTION:

- The primary responsibility of this position is software development.
- We need individuals who value producing maintainable, high quality software that delights our internal corporate customers.
- This position is responsible for development and support of engine performance and combustion simulation tools and automated processes for use of the tools in product development.
- This includes developing and maintaining 1D or 3D computer aided engineering software features, automating processes with Scripting, participating in testing of the software for quality control, and maintaining the software development environment for the team.

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors degree in Engineering or Bachelors degree in Computer Science with engineering minor or equivalent experience.
- At least two years of experience developing software in C++.
- Need to work well in a team environment, have good verbal and written communication skills, and be detail oriented with analytical and problem solving ability.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Masters degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience in Python programming including graphical interface development.
- Experience in thermodynamic simulation software development.
- Experience in both Windows and Linux environments.
- Experience using GT-Power, WAVE, Boost, or similar software.
- Experience using CONVERGE, Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or similar CFD software with combustion capability.
