C Python Developer/Engineer - Cyber Defence/Unix/Bash

C PYTHON SOFTWARE ENGINEER/SECURITY SPECIALIST (OPEN SOURCE/BASH/PERL) - This is a long term contract opportunity for an experienced Developer to join a global Financial Services company. The role will involve joining the security team to develop a number of tools that are the cornerstone of their malware, hacking and cyber defence.

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Several years' experience in software development and Scripting with C, Python, PowerShell, Perl and SQL
- Expertise in command line UNIX
- Open Source know-how
- Proven experience within cyber defense and IT forensic techniques
- Background in MySQL, Elastic Search, JSON/REST, HTML and JavaScript would be advantageous
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken

YOUR TASKS:

- Assessing the current state and proposing, prioritizing, designing and implementing refectories and updates
- Integrating and automating the company's tool set
- Migrating the toolset from internal server to an IaaS instance in the company's Private Cloud
